Park Lane Healthcare celebrates Gold Standards Framework accreditation across six care homes

Six care homes operated by Park Lane Healthcare have now achieved Gold Standards Framework (GSF) accreditation, marking a significant milestone for the group and recognising its commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Moorgate Croft and Moorgate Hollow in Rotherham, Magnolia House in Cottingham and The Hall in Thornton-le-Dale have all successfully completed the GSF accreditation process this year, following a 12-month programme of training, evidence gathering and assessment.

They join Moorgate Lodge in Rotherham and Croston Park in Lancashire, which achieved Gold Standards Framework accreditation in September 2025.

The Gold Standards Framework is a nationally recognised programme that supports health and social care teams to provide high-quality care for people approaching the end of life. The framework focuses on identifying individual needs early, planning care around people's wishes and preferences, improving communication with families and healthcare professionals, and helping people receive the right care in the right place.

A group-wide commitment to high standards of care

The latest accreditations follow an extensive programme of training across the four homes, ensuring that the principles of the Gold Standards Framework are understood and embedded into everyday practice.

As part of the assessment process, each home compiled a detailed portfolio of evidence demonstrating how the framework had been put into practice and how it had influenced the way teams support residents and their families.

External examiners also visited each home and spoke with staff across a range of roles. These assessments explored how well the principles of the framework were understood and how effectively they had become embedded within the wider teams.

The evidence from each home was then considered by an external panel before accreditation was formally awarded.

With the successful completion of the programme, six of Park Lane Healthcare's homes across Yorkshire and Lancashire now hold Gold Standards Framework accreditation.

The accreditation currently applies to the group's six residential and nursing homes where the Gold Standards Framework is relevant to the level and type of care provided. Park Lane Healthcare's seventh home is not currently part of the GSF accreditation programme.

Chris Lane, Chairman of Park Lane Healthcare, said:

“Having six of our homes achieve Gold Standards Framework accreditation is a significant milestone for Park Lane Healthcare and something we are incredibly proud of.

“A huge amount of work has gone into this over the past 12 months, from the training and evidence gathering through to the external assessments. What is most important, though, is that the principles of the framework are embedded in the way our teams support residents and their families every day.

“To have six homes across the group recognised reflects the commitment of our teams and the consistently high standards of care we want to provide across Park Lane Healthcare.”

Recognising the commitment of our teams

Achieving GSF accreditation across six homes is a reflection of the dedication of Park Lane Healthcare's teams and their commitment to delivering compassionate, individualised care.

The accreditation provides external recognition of the work taking place across the group to ensure residents and their families are supported with dignity, choice and compassion, particularly at the most important stages of their care journey.
