Moorgate Lodge Residents Strike Gold at Care Home Olympics!
A day of sporting triumph and community spirit unfolded at Rotherham's New York Stadium today, as residents from Moorgate Lodge Nursing Home, alongside participants from three other local care homes, competed in the inaugural Care Home Olympics.
The event, a heartwarming initiative organized by Rotherham United's community trust, saw residents from Moorgate Lodge put their skills to the test in a series of accessible and engaging games. Following weeks of dedicated training sessions held within the home, courtesy of Rotherham United's outreach program, the residents were ready to showcase their newfound abilities.
